The Intense Serum is composed of 10% azelaic acid, niacinamide, also known as vitamin B3, and pea peptide. The combination of these 3 ingredients gives this serum a multitasking role:

1. Smoothing the skin texture, reducing imperfections, and minimizing enlarged pores:

• Azelaic acid normalizes the proliferation of keratinocytes and increases cell turnover, thus contributing to smoother skin texture and better sebum secretion.

• Azelaic acid possesses excellent antibacterial and sebum-regulating properties. Combined with niacinamide, it will reduce comedones.

• The combination of niacinamide and azelaic acid also helps to reduce pores. Indeed, vitamin B3 is known for its anti-inflammatory properties and its ability to reduce the appearance of pores. Azelaic acid, on the other hand, is effective in keeping pores clear by preventing obstruction and reducing the appearance of enlarged pores.

2. Reducing redness and skin inflammation:

• Azelaic acid also has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, making it interesting for blemish-prone skin as well as sensitive, irritated, and red skin.

• Thanks to its combination with niacinamide, which is also anti-inflammatory, cucumber extract, vitamin B5, peptides, and bisabolol, this serum will have a very soothing and hydrating role.

3. Improving skin radiance, fading dark spots:

• Azelaic acid improves brown spots related to photoaging and melasma, as well as reddish spots left by the healing of imperfections. Its combination with niacinamide and pea peptides will optimize skin uniformity and radiance.

In conclusion, the Intense Serum reduces imperfections and redness, soothes the skin, reduces discolorations left by skin eruptions, and fades dark spots.

Instructions for use

Apply 2 to 3 pumps to your face, neck, and décolleté morning and/or evening. Use sunscreen in the morning. Avoid the eye area. Shake well before use.

You can use azelaic acid in your skincare routine combined with other Helwe products according to your skin concerns. Here are some examples of routines:

• For hyperpigmented skin: Use the Intense Serum in the morning after the Radiant Serum with vitamin C, then apply the Youth Cream or Energy Cream and SPF. In the evening, apply the Soft Skin or Perfect Skin Exfoliating Lotion, then the Perfection Serum with bakuchiol, followed by the Radiance Serum with vitamin C.

• For blemish-prone and enlarged pores skin: Apply the Intense Serum in the morning, then apply the Active Emulsion with hyaluronic acid. In the evening, apply the Clear Skin Exfoliating Lotion with salicylic acid, then the Perfection Serum, followed by the Intense Serum and the Active or Eternal Cream.

• For irritated and red skin: Apply the Intense Moisturizing Serum in the evening, then the Intense Serum followed by the Eternal Cream with a few drops of Energy Booster. In the morning, apply the Longevity Serum, then the Intense Serum followed by the Eternal Cream with a few drops of Energy Booster and SPF. If irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult a physician. Use only as directed on intact skin. It is advisable to perform a skin test before use.
